Woolworths Food Company is a platform of businesses within Woolworths Group. The businesses are Woolworths Food Company Retail (WFCR), Australia Grocery Wholesalers, Greenstock and Refresh within Woolworths Group.
In WFCR, we partner with dynamic suppliers to develop a range of Woolworths Own Brand and exclusive brand products, which meet the ongoing and changing needs of Woolworths customers.

Our integrated teams of Sourcing Specialists, Product Developers, Packaging Specialists, Customer Insights & Sensory Specialists, Chefs, Commercial Specialists, and Branders work closely with suppliers and partners to deliver the best balance of quality, value, taste, nutrition, and innovation for our customers.
What you'll do
As a Product Development Graduate you will develop a broad range of skills and capabilities across the end to end WFC business, that will enable you to progress in the future to becoming a Product Developer and a key asset within WFC. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our products meet our sustainability, quality and organoleptic standards. You will be responsible for planning the product development pipeline and executing projects such as understanding and applying the Product Development process, applying the directiional frameworks and also supporting the product development leads to research, scope, create, source and deliver a product end to end.
You will be exposed to a number of areas linked to the following learning outcomes:
- Creating and informing an own brand tiered product strategy
- Developing Own Brand products of the highest quality that customers love
- Developing Own Brand Products in line with the Product Development Process
- Developing Own Brand Products in line with the Brand Guidelines and Directional Frameworks
- You are a smart, broad and curious thinker who will ask the right questions, root causes the issues, and develop value adding insights and perspectives
- You will be a proactive team member, who will bring ideas and suggestions to the table based on strategic and commercial insight
- Ability to partner horizontally across WFC, understanding how to be agile and bridge differences to enable cooperation at all levels
- Good communicator, able to effectively create “buy in” to new ideas and convince others of the need for change as required with poise, logic and shared understanding
- Ability to negotiating and influencing to achieve successful outcomes for customers, teams and the business
