The Head of Finance will drive future growth and business improvement opportunities across the division.
This role is responsible for leading the financial function of the Energy Networks division; which involves a team of 500 employees planning, designing, constructing, operating, maintaining, managing and decommissioning power and gas network assets.
As a partner to the EGM Energy Networks and GM Energy Networks Australia (AU), the Head of Finance is responsible for managing the financial aspects of the Energy Networks division with an emphasis on financial performance and strong cashflow generation.
In particular we are looking for someone who can demonstrate experience in distressed contract turn around for a tier 1 or tier 2 engineering, construction or service / maintenance company.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver Energy Networks strategic objectives and financial outcomes
- Prepare and coordinate annual budget activities for the division
- Ensure all Project Valuation reporting, month end reporting & forecasting process is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Leading and developing the sector finance team of 10
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in contract turn around
- 10+ years of financial / project accounting experience / capability in a large complex corporate operating a senior level
- Possess communication skills of the highest level in order to positively influence staff, clients, management and broader business stakeholder groups
- Tertiary level qualification in Finance, Accounting or Commerce. Masters degree preferred
- CPA or CA (or membership of another recognised professional accounting body)
