DWS is seeking a Head of Human Resources to lead and manager the HR Function for the DWS Group across Australia and New Zealand.
The role will be providing hands-on operational leadership and coaching on all people matters including performance, employee relations, workplace health and safety, engagement recognition and reward, equality, learning and development, compliance, and performance management.
Additionally, the Head of Human Resources will also direct and ensure that every aspect of HR incorporates the vision, values, and culture of our IT Consulting organisation in consultation with the CEO and executive team.

Salary: $170-190K package (including super), depending on experience
Skills and Experience
- Substantial professional experience across a large national or multi-national business in a hands-on Head of Human Resources or equivalent level role (Chief People Officer, Head of People & Culture, Chief Human Resources Office, HR Director, etc.)
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or an equivalent level of professional of experience
- Knowledge of both Australian and New Zealand Employment law
- A strong commercial focus and influencing skills, with confidence to push-back and redirect
- Communicate effectively with authority and subject matter expertise
- Knowledge of consultative processes, practices, and management – with strong consultation and direction abilities
- A genuine interest in the well-being of others
- Relationship building with a diverse group of people
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Policy reviews and development and publishing
- Day to day operations including managing leave & attendance; both for the HR team and the wider organisation
- Ensure all HR Processes support the business are legal and effective
- Compliance with all applicable legislation, and parent company initiatives
- Leading people management activities such as performance and remuneration reviews for all Consultants and internal support staff
- Leading staff engagement / benefits activities
- Resolution of all HR matters
- Learning & Development – maintenance, expansion, and reporting of employee training
- Coach and guide managers in effective HR processes
- Manage people risks and ensure all programs support a healthy and safe workplace for all employees
- Develop a team of HR staff who are effective and skilled in their duties
- Design and implementation of action plans to ensure high performance, quality continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Yearly pulse survey and action plan
- Work with colleagues in all group companies
- Yearly WGEA Reporting
- Monthly management reports and ad-hoc reporting
