Sparkways has 38 Early Childhood Education & Care (ECEC) services, approximately 450 staff and over 3,800 children attending kindergartens and early childhood learning centres each week at sites across Melbourne.

About the Position
Reporting to the Executive Director – Operations, this position is as a key member of the Early Learning team. The Head of Operations will lead the planning and delivery of the organisation's operational and strategic plan. This includes providing operational leadership across the Sparkways Early Learning portfolio including day to day leadership of a diverse portfolio, systems, frameworks, initiatives, policies, and processes.
This role provides hybrid working options with two days service-based and three days working from home or out of one of our Support Office Hub’s located in Carrum Downs and Flemington. This is a highly impactful leadership role and a great opportunity to make a difference to the future of the organisation and the children and families that Sparkways supports.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will either have experience as a multi-site senior leader in the Early Years Sector or be an experienced people leader from a similar profession – retail, health, aged care etc.
Leading a team of five Area Managers, you are comfortable developing highly complex teams, competing prioritises and balancing best practice with operational needs. You are willing to step outside the box, change the status quo and make your mark.
You are a highly effective communicator with both internal and external stakeholders. An energetic go-getter, that truly enjoys a fast-pace and a role of responsibility. A highly capable leader that aligns to Sparkways values and behaviours including a demonstrated track record in modelling and reinforcing organisational values and behaviours.
