APU Excavations & Rentals is seeking a Hire Controller to join our team in Yatala. This role involves managing our hire equipment, liaising with operators, and overseeing day-to-day operations.

APU Excavations & Rentals, established 6 years ago, is a thriving local family business located in Yatala. Specialising in excavation, rentals, and underground services, we provide Dry Hire and Wet Hire solutions across Southeast Queensland. Our extensive fleet includes top-notch machinery such as excavators and vacuum trucks, and we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality services to our long-term clients.
The Duties:
- Coordinating the availability and delivery of equipment
- Liaising with clients and forging strong relationships
- Liaising with operators
- Answering calls and inquiries
- Coordinating day-to-day Dry Hire and Wet Hire operations
- Scheduling
- Handling machine services
- Ensuring accurate equipment hire and off-hire, and precise charging.
Your Skills:
- Clear communication skills, both on the phone and in person with customers, team members, and suppliers
- Proficiency in information technology and diligence with paperwork
- Strong customer service skills
- Equipment Hire industry experience preferred but not essential.
- SIMPRO knowledge is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Available on-call to organise after-hours hires.
