What you'll be doing
The respiratory function scientist is an outpatient laboratory-based role to:
Provide complex testing of respiratory function in patients with (or suspected of having) respiratory dysfunction, including spirometry and measurement of lung volumes, diffusion capacity, airway reactivity, allergic responses, exercise capacity and responses to hypoxia.
Actively participate patient education, relevant to the speciality, of outpatients.
Actively participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and practices relevant to the specialty, including regular revision and development of the laboratory policy & Practice Manuals .
Calibration and preparation of equipment used in performing respiratory function tests
Maintain equipment and accessories to optimum hygiene standards

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in respiratory function testing
