About The Role
As a Human Resources Advisor, you will play a key role in providing high-level support to project personnel and ensuring compliance with company policies and legislative standards. Working closely with the HR Manager, you will contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive culture, promoting safety initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in HR practices.
This role offers the opportunity for an enthusiastic HR Advisor to be FIFO on site on a 5/2 - 4/3 roster –
Additionally, the role will:
- Promote and support a culture of safety compliance, demonstrating personal commitment to health, safety, training, and environmental initiatives.
- Provide HR assistance to managers in addressing health, safety, and environmental breaches.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with payroll personnel to ensure accuracy of information and resolution of escalated complaints.
- Engage in community initiatives to demonstrate the company's commitment to sustainable communities.
- Support managers in resourcing and talent processes, ensuring fair and objective decision-making.
- Analyse HR data and performance information to provide insights and support decision-making.
- Foster an inclusive and diverse workplace culture, coaching and mentoring employees on leadership capabilities and behaviour/values
About You
The ideal candidate for this position should possess tertiary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline. This educational background provides a solid foundation in understanding the principles and practices of HR management. Additionally, extensive experience in an HR Officer role is required, preferably within the mining or construction industry. This industry-specific experience ensures familiarity with the unique challenges and regulations associated with these sectors.
A key requirement for this role is a strong knowledge of modern HR principles, employment, and HR best practices. This expertise enables the candidate to effectively navigate and resolve various HR-related issues that may arise. Furthermore, exposure to open-cut mining operations is considered desirable, as it provides valuable insights into the specific demands and intricacies of this type of mining.
In addition to the qualifications and experience mentioned above, there are several additional requirements for this role. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for building positive relationships with employees, management, and external stakeholders. The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and across different sites is crucial, as the HR Officer will interact with individuals from various departments and locations
