Human Resource Officer

• $83,430 per annum + leave loading + super 
• Ability to work remotely – no need to be based in Port Lincoln! 
• 12-month fixed term contract

The Opportunity 

As a Human Resource Officer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the success of our school by securing and retaining top-notch staff, developing and maintaining employment systems, and providing invaluable human resource support and advice to our leadership team.

• HR Support: Assist school leadership in managing the human resources function, ensuring alignment with our school's Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan.
• Recruitment Expertise: Oversee recruitment activities, from crafting compelling job adverts to conducting effective interviews, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for applicants.
• Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including overseeing onboarding processes, preparing employment contracts, and conducting exit interviews.
• Compliance and Record Keeping: Ensure compliance with Enterprise Agreement provisions, maintain accurate personnel records, and provide advice on industrial relations matters.
• Employee Relations: Support leadership with disciplinary, grievance, and performance issues, ensuring adherence to legislative and Enterprise Agreement requirements.
• Training and Development: Coordinate and oversee staff training initiatives, including health and safety inductions and ongoing professional development.

About You

You will possess a comprehensive generalist HR background with practical experience supporting strategic and operational HR activities. 

• Proficiency across a variety of human resource disciplines including recruitment, industrial relations, and performance management.
• Have high attention to detail & demonstrate a high level of trust, integrity, and work ethic.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Showcase high-level proficiency in MS Office and database navigation to efficiently manage HR tasks.
• Can work under minimal direction and positively support leadership.
