The Opportunity
As a Human Resource Officer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the success of our school by securing and retaining top-notch staff, developing and maintaining employment systems, and providing invaluable human resource support and advice to our leadership team.
- HR Support: Assist school leadership in managing the human resources function, ensuring alignment with our school's Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan.
- Recruitment Expertise: Oversee recruitment activities, from crafting compelling job adverts to conducting effective interviews, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for applicants.
- Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including overseeing onboarding processes, preparing employment contracts, and conducting exit interviews.
- Compliance and Record Keeping: Ensure compliance with Enterprise Agreement provisions, maintain accurate personnel records, and provide advice on industrial relations matters.
- Employee Relations: Support leadership with disciplinary, grievance, and performance issues, ensuring adherence to legislative and Enterprise Agreement requirements.
- Training and Development: Coordinate and oversee staff training initiatives, including health and safety inductions and ongoing professional development.
About You
You will possess a comprehensive generalist HR background with practical experience supporting strategic and operational HR activities.
- Proficiency across a variety of human resource disciplines including recruitment, industrial relations, and performance management.
- Have high attention to detail & demonstrate a high level of trust, integrity, and work ethic.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Showcase high-level proficiency in MS Office and database navigation to efficiently manage HR tasks.
- Can work under minimal direction and positively support leadership.
