The Position
This newly created position presents a unique opportunity to become a key player in the continuous evolution of our HR practices. With a meticulous approach and passion for continuous improvement, the HR Operations Manager is a pivotal role in overseeing all HR processes and procedures, ensuring a seamless, efficient and compliant operation. The position will report directly to the Head of Human Resources and will focus on driving positive change whilst collaborating with various teams and leaders to drive HR initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage end-to-end HR processes for the company, including but not limited to onboarding, performance management and employee relations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
- Oversee the management of HRIS to streamline HR processes, implement additional modules and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of employee training and development programs to enhance skills and competencies across the company.
- Utilise HR metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of HR processes, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the HR function and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead HR projects from conception to completion.
- Collaborate with various teams and leaders including Finance and Internal team to understand their HR needs and provide strategic solutions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective communication and relationship-building at all levels of the organization.
- Assist the Head of Human Resources with ad-hoc projects.
As an experienced HR Operations Manager, you understand the importance of aligning HR processes with business objectives and strategies. Detail oriented, and with a meticulous approach to planning, leading and monitoring projects, you will have clear and concise communication, both written and verbal, and are able to convey complex information to key stakeholders. You will possess the skills and willingness to be heavily involved in the details of projects, including working directly with data, system design, thorough business process documentation, testing, training, ongoing support, and enhancements.
Additional qualities and skills required to be successful in this role include:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as an HR Operations Manager or similar HR position.
- Proven experience within an evolving and growing operation.
- Practical experience working with regional teams across Australia, New Zealand and Asia is required.
- Previous work experience within the technology sector or similar is preferred.
- HRIS implementation and management experience
- Flexible and adaptable to change, evolving trends, and new technologies.
- Strategic thinking and strong business acumen
- Ability to establish trusted relationships through collaboration and open communication.
- Problem solving skills including proposing effective solutions and implementing necessary changes.
- Ability to multi-task, be organised and display excellent time management skills
- Knowledgeable in employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in Australia and preferrable New Zealand and Asia.
