AddressHSE & Training Advisor
We are now seeking a qualified and experienced HSE & Training Advisor to join our team working across central Queensland.
This role is to provide support, guidance, and technical advice to site workers in relation to HSE and training and assessing, this role will ensure the team maintains a safe workplace/environment across all of our locations. This position is one to excite as we are looking for someone to come on board and help create the safe future of QWEST.
This position is offered on a 8/6 roster based onsite at Blackwater Curragh Mine. Operations with Ad hoc site travel required to other site Operations within in Central Queensland. Applicant needs to live within the Central Queensland area.
The role will be responsible for providing practical support which includes but is not limited to.
- Working closely with front line personnel and leadership teams to plan and implement proactive safety and risk improvement measures.
- Facilitating risk assessment and conducting quality observations to enhance risk assessments used in the feild leadership.
- Promoting awareness and monitoring compliance to the safety management systems and processes
- Facilitating incident investigations using the ICAM methodology
- Provide support to the operational areas with strong customer service to provide proactive solutions and to facilitate effective health and safety management and a positive safety culture.
- Safety performance reporting, auditing and trend analysis.
- Background in crane/lifting industry is essential.
- Signing off on VOCS & training compliance.
The Experience & training needed for this position:
- Qualifications & experience in Training Cert IV TAE
- Tertiary Safety qualifications (minimum – Diploma) & Risk Management qualifications are highly desirable.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to improving health and safety outcomes.
- Highly effective communicator through all levels of the business.
- Experience with delivering and participate in pre-start and toolbox meetings with small workgroups.
- Mine site or Construction experience.
- Experience with or similar programs such as Myosh, Assigner, Share point, Microsoft office, Excel, and Outlook
