Glencore's McArthur River Mine has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist to join the team.
You will join a team of collaborative HR professionals, providing value-added HR service delivery across our operations and to over 850 personnel. This is a site-based role on a 9-day fortnight (5/2, 4/3 roster).
About the role:
On a daily basis, you will provide services including:
- Coaching Managers in providing feedback and resolving workplace issues.
- Managing escalated employee relations matters such as performance improvement plans, grievances and misconduct investigations.
- Develop and deploy a range of people strategies and plans.
- Processing employee variations and other employee data changes through a range of internal systems and issuing appropriate documentation to employees and payroll.
- Maintaining accuracy and compliance of employee records and information.
- Build quality partnerships with leaders and employees through delivery and implementation of upcoming HR projects.
- Contributing to the development, evaluation and review of HR policies, processes and procedures, ensuring they are compliant with legislative and reporting requirements, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Planning, coordinating and implementing the MRM's Rewards & Recognition, and Development programs.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications (or as a minimum, Diploma) in HR or related discipline
- Solid, proven expertise and knowledge in Generalist Human Resources functions.
- Demonstrated ability in managing varied and conflicting demands to agreed standards and timelines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to act as a professional resource in all HR related matters at all levels within the business.

This role supports a mine which is fly in fly out from Darwin. At MRM we support the Northern Territory first and Territorian applicants or those prepared to relocate with our assistance will be highly regarded for this role.
About us:
McArthur River Mine is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future. You'll find our mine, a key asset in Glencore's global mining portfolio, in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process zinc, lead and silver from our open cut mine. It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and is shipped to our customers all over the world. Our customers use our essential commodities in everyday products for mobility, infrastructure and communications.
