We're looking for an experienced HR professional who is enthusiastic and has a hands-on approach and can-do attitude to join our Human Resources team. This is a great opportunity to develop your career and gain exposure to various components of HR. This is a generalist role and will require someone with sound HR knowledge in all areas. Experience in blue collar environments - especially within the manufacturing, transport, and logistics industries will be highly regarded.
What you'll be doing- Lead end to end disciplinary processes, grievance resolution, performance management processes, and other employment relations matters
- Support and assist managers to ensure processes are followed to ensure the business is not at risk of potential claims.
- Ensure terminations, redundancies, disciplinary processes are conducted in an appropriate manner.
- Assist with the negotiation and submission of Enterprise Agreements - ensuring that all FWC requirements are fulfilled.
- Assessing staff for potential casual conversions
- Assessing Modern Award/Enterprise Agreement application - ensuring the correct Award is applied and that all Award requirements are met.
- Interpreting Modern Award/Enterprise Agreement and providing advice to line managers
- Undertake annual wage compliance reviews - ensuring we meet our obligations under specific industrial instruments.
- Support and work with HR team to develop policies and procedures.
- Providing advice in relation to the application of policies and legislation
- Participating in HR projects as required
- General HR administration and recruitment support
This role may require some travel.
About youHere are the skills and qualifications you'll need to be considered for this role.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources/Business or a related area
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Human Resources Coordinator/Advisor in a blue-collar environment
- HR experience in the chemical manufacturing and transport/logistics industry will be highly regarded.
- Experience ead end to end disciplinary processes, grievance resolution, performance management processes, and other employment relations matters
- Ability to interpret and apply Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreement
- Demonstrated practical understanding of the National Employment Standards (NES)
- Experience leading recruitment, end to end, in a high-volume environment
- Ability to build effective and collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
- Coaching and advisory skills
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
- High level attention to detail
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organised with excellent time management
