ABOUT THE POSITION
Our business seeks an experienced and talented Human Resources Officer to join our team and contribute to TLEA’s exciting global vision on a permanent full-time basis, working at our office located in Kwinana.
Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources you will be responsible for providing frontline generalist HR support to the business. This role requires someone who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment ensure strong relationships are built and maintained while setting the foundation for the company to achieve its goals.
In addition to possessing our core values of distinction, pragmatism, honesty, tenacity, and innovation, this position will suit a results-driven, pragmatic professional with the ability to learn quickly, possesses a high attention to detail and provides administrative support to the HR and recruitment team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- First level generalist HR support and guidance to leaders and employees HR email inbox.
- Supports cyclical HR programs of work such as the Annual Performance Review process, Culture Surveys, Remuneration review and STIP process.
- Complete onboarding activities for new employees.
- Be the point of contact between employees, leaders and payroll.
- Contractor management.
- Maintain accurate HR and employee data in HRIS.
- Prepare contracts and employment packages for new employees.
- Support the execution and management of flexible work arrangements.
- Support the management of private health insurance reimbursements.
- Development of reports and data analysis across a range of HR metrics as required by the HR Manager.
- Co-ordinate the visa and migration process when required.
- Support the transactional initiatives relating to the employee lifecycle and employee experience.
- Manages the contract and purchasing requirements for the HR Department.
- Actively support the HR team in all other areas as needed.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or relevant field.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a general Human Resources role.
- Exposure to payroll queries relating to enterprise agreements.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards
- Ability to interpret enterprise agreements, awards and other employment contracts.
- Ability to interpret and apply HR related policy and procedure.
- Strong communication skills.
- Sound planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
DISIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge and understanding of Australian immigration and visa requirements.
- Experience working in the resources sector.
