The Opportunity:
In the role of ILS Support Specialist, you will be responsible for contributing towards the success of LAND 154 Phase 4 (including Mission Support Systems) by delivering the ILS Program as part of a Capability Acquisition outcome.
The ILS Support Specialist position involves aiding the ILS Manager in creating support plans, services, and contracts to achieve acquisition logistics support objectives for the program. This role will support program/project personnel in transitioning ongoing sustainment needs to in-service and/or SPO arrangements are per program Transition Planning guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Perform all necessary tasks related to inventory management
Lead and participate in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) aspects of tender evaluation and contract negotiations, including financial assessment when required
Update relevant ILS documentation
Provide FIC (ILS) inputs for Configuration and Logistics Control (CLC) processes
Miscellaneous ACT and MILIS related compliance, transactional and reporting tasks such as codification, dues in and PIOS requirements in support of acquisition of proof of concept and engineering test unit activities
Draft responses for logistics related correspondence, briefs, and reports
Interpret logistics policy and legislation for Defence stakeholders
Review CDRL and ILS documentation
Support Project Management staff with the ILS aspect of contract management
Develop and execute a Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) program, including Life cycle Cost Modelling and assessment.
What you bring:
Hold an active Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) AGSVA Security Clearance (or higher) – mandatory
Inventory Management Practitioner (includes procurement activities)
Minimum of 5 years in a similar role with demonstrated ILS Document/Publication development skills
Knowledge and understanding of ASDEFCON suite
Intermediate understanding of ILS risk and risk management
Knowledge and understanding of the CLC, as well as the links between ILS functions and FIC requirements
Demonstrated ability to understand and incorporate material safety requirements as part of an ILS program such as SDSs
MILIS
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
