About the role:
The role will coordinate the registering of asset information (new or augmentation) for data capture into Asset Knowledge management systems, validating source Information and tracking the Asset Data Teams work in hand.
Responsibilities include:
- Register and track tasks received by the asset data mailbox to track Asset Data Teams work in hand program;
- Work with all stakeholders to ensure the asset tracker is kept up to date and provides the Asset Data Manager, and others as required, key metrics;
- Register and track requests from customers for detail infrastructure plans mailbox to track Asset Data Teams work in hand program;
- Provide detail infrastructure plans to the required standard and timeframes. Provide the necessary background research to support customer excellence;
- Coordinate with vendors and consultants to support any project to accelerate the capture of the legacy records and the automation of customer request on mapping enquires;
- Identifying hardcopy drawings that require capture by verifying that the detail on the drawings is relevant and unique, and identifying its stage of the drawing lifecycle (design versions, As-constructed);
- Capturing the drawing into the drawing management system by scanning and registering the drawing record to standards to ensure assets are accurate in GIS and are registered for ease of drawing retrieval;
- Identify similarities, differences, or problems between similar drawings by utilising knowledge of water and sewer asset infrastructure;
- Identifying all repositories of hardcopy that may require capture and working autonomously and effectively to process each repository in an agreed priority;
- Assisting staff with queries and advice regarding availability of drawings to ensure business needs are met;
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders that rely on drawing management systems for their business activities;
- Assisting with developing / confirming appropriate operational practice in regard to drawing management, and participating in continuous improvement activities such as procedure and policy review; and
- Liaising with the business areas to determine operational solutions and recommend for approval, where existing guidelines, policies or approaches are lacking detail.
About you:
- Certificate III in Business or similar or demonstrated experience in a similar position;
- Demonstrated experience in using ArcGIS and AutoCad systems;
- Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of water and sewerage infrastructure to the processes of Dial Before You Dig processing, Detail Infrastructure Plan construction and drawing registration;
- Demonstrated experience in processing customer requests and dealing with customer queries;
- C Class Driver's License; and
- Experience coordinating asset capture processes, technique awareness infrastructure and engineering drawings in the water / sewerage industry or similar.
