This newly created position is to be part of the company's digital growth journey. Your purpose is to lead the commercial insights activities and act as the main business partner for our local markets.

In this role, you will:
- Lead the affiliate Commercial Insights activities and provide forward-looking insights to advance understanding of the relevant markets, competitors, and customers. delivering major competitive advantage for Astellas' products
- Synthesize marketing intelligence and learnings to provide leadership and insights to the business.
- Develop a deep understanding of the market landscape, which includes market potential, market trends, market access challenges, and competitors' trends for each of the assigned products.
- Provide assumptions and inputs to inform about market and response models such as forecasting and identification of data sources.
- Must be experienced in niche market research, business analytics, strategic forecasting or related fields
- Expertise and experience in demand forecasting
- Proven project management: managing multiple projects simultaneously, management of complex projects
- Effective communication of complex messages, in writing and speech, to a broad range of stakeholders, including senior executives
- Advanced degree (MBA/MS/PhD)
- Pharmaceutical experience
- Tertiary qualification in business or quantitative field data/analytics/statistics or equivalent
- This is a permanent, full-time role
- Candidates must have full Work Rights in Australia
- This position is based in Sydney
- This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and a minimum of 2 days per week in our Macquarie Park office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
