The Opportunity
Our IT Project Manager will be part of our IT team geographically spread across Australia and overseas and your clients will include around 500+ staffs. This role will be based in our Balcatta office. In this role you will coordinate the delivery of IT systems and change into the business. This position is focused on internal business systems and tools, working with the IT Programme Manager, Business Analysts, internal stakeholders and the IT team to manage the delivery of technology projects.
Planning and documentation will be performed on Jira/Confluence with regular meetings with the Project Management Office team to manage priorities and resources within and between the projects.
Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Coordinate the delivery of various projects into the business.
• Work with all stakeholders to develop project scope, establish sizing and delivery schedules.
• Communication with other departments to ensure resources for Discovery, UAT, Training and Delivery processes.
• Measuring the effectiveness of deliveries and develop emergent scope to address any issues or opportunities identified.
• Forecasting and preparing project budgets and alternate action plans.
• Monthly status reporting to project boards and senior stakeholders.
• Contributing to the evolution of the Five Group project management framework, standards and templates.
Who are we looking for?
We are on the lookout for a team player with a can-do attitude, strong customer-focused attitude who has demonstrated experience in the following:
• A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Project Management or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years’ previous experience in a technology Project Management position or similar.
• Demonstrated experience in using Waterfall and Agile project delivery
• An understanding of IT product development lifecycles.
• A solid understanding of IT technologies including APIs and integrations.
• An understanding of the ITIL framework would be highly regarded.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence would be highly regarded.
• Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal
