As our new IT Service Desk Officer , you will provide frontline support for all software and hardware users within the RSL LifeCare. This is a key position, and you will perform a supportive help desk role for our organisation. Key Accountabilities:
Provide immediate responses and solutions to users for breakdowns and changes in information systems, across our Aged Care, Veterans and Corporate facilities.
Using our IT service management ticketing system, address defects such as printing problems, desktop PC and terminal troubleshooting, PC and network connection problems, including Citrix XenApp issues.
Assist users of current application software to resolve problems "in-house" if possible, before escalating to external vendor support.
Perform installation of PC and network equipment at sites as directed by IT management.
Who are you:
College Diploma or one to two years equivalent work experience with medium sized distributed helpdesk.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred L1, 2 ITIL-based, technical support experience within a predominantly Microsoft desktop and server operating system based environment
Problem solving, task management and project coordination and implementation skills
Driving Licence to travel on an ad hoc basis as you progress beyond phone-based level one support, to our locations across NSW and ACT.
