About the Role
The Level 2 Technician will be providing remote & onsite IT Support for our Managed Service Customers across North Queensland. Your role will be to troubleshoot & resolve complex issues as well as provide training and guidance to our Level 1 Helpdesk team while working closely and learning from more experienced Team Members.
This role will be responsible for onsite deployments of new Hardware such as Desktops, Laptops, Network Equipment and Phone Systems as well as overseeing the creation and use of IT policies & procedures for the Level 1 team to follow.
At OneTouch IT you will have the opportunity to learn & undertake complex projects such as Microsoft 365 Migrations, Server Installations, Network Deployments, Cyber Security Reviews and Hosted Phone System Solutions.
The role will require someone with strong communication skills and an appetite for growth and improvement as we continue to grow and overcome new challenges.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support to Customers both remotely and on-site via RMM Tools.
- Diagnose & troubleshoot complex technical problems escalated from Level 1.
- Provide Leadership & Guidance to Level 1 Team
- Communicate effectively with Customers & Internal Team.
- Configure & Deploy Windows 10/11 & Windows Server Environments
(Hyper-V, ESXi) - Configure & Deploy Cisco Meraki, Sophos Firewalls and Unifi Networks
- Monitor & Manage Cyber Security Events & Backups
Desired Skills / Certifications:
- Ideally 2-3 Years Experience in the industry (a capable tech with 1-2yrs experience will also be considered).
- Experience in any of the following; Azure, Active Directory, Datto, Microsoft 365, Hyper-V, Cisco Meraki, Sophos, Sentinel One, SQL Server, Acronis, VMware is desirable.
- Eager to Learn & Adapt to the ever-changing IT Landscape.
- Demonstrated Work-ethic and commitment to teamwork.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to comply with and develop internal processes.
- Any relevant certifications such as Microsoft, ITIL, CompTIA, Cert. 3 or 4 in IT etc. is desired.
- Tertiary qualifications in an IT or related discipline is desirable.
- A Current Drivers Licence is ESSENTIAL as you will be travelling to client premises on a regular basis.
