About the Role
We're thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a seasoned and enthusiastic IT System Administrator to join our Brisbane team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing, supporting, and maintaining First Five Group's existing IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability and efficiency of First Five Group’s IT services, including but not limited to network infrastructure, servers, cloud storage, and virtualization platforms.
- Regularly monitor the IT infrastructure for optimal performance, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess IT needs, recommend improvements, and implement new technologies that enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides, to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure system integrity.
- Implement and enforce IT security best practices, including access controls, data encryption, vulnerability management, and disaster recovery planning.
- Conduct regular backups, perform system updates and patches, and ensure the integrity and availability of data across all IT systems.
- Provide user training and technical support, including diagnosing and resolving issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other end-user peripherals.
Skills/Experience Required
- 5+ years’ hands-on experience as an IT System Administrator, with a proven track record of managing complex IT environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 support, including tenancy and domain migrations, Exchange Online administration, and SharePoint Online configuration.
- Extensive experience with Active Directory services management, including user provisioning, group policy management, and LDAP integration.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as Microsoft Hyper-V, including virtual machine provisioning, resource allocation, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure, and experience deploying and managing cloud-based services and infrastructure.
- Advanced skills in scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, Python, or Bash to streamline administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Strong organizational prowess, adept at managing competing priorities, maintaining attention to detail, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are highly desirable.
