What you’ll be doing in this role
We are recruiting for a full-time Medical Officer to become part of our professional, dedicated team who take pride in providing high-quality care to patients, their families, and visitors. With an aim towards gaining general medical registration with AHPRA you would be rotating through medicine, emergency and surgery to meet you core terms.
Reporting to the Medical Workforce Manager, in this role you will assist our senior Medical Officer, registrars and Specialists in providing care for San patients.
What we are looking for
- An International Medical Graduate who has successfully completed AMC part 1 (MCQs) and English Proficiency testing and seeking to complete the standard pathway for medical registration in Australia
- At least 3 full years of medical practitioner experience after completing the medical degree (PGY3+)
- Have been working as a medical practitioner regularly within the last 1-2 years, preferably within an acute hospital setting
- Current visa to work in Australia
- Clinical skills to perform general procedures within pathology, radiology and medication prescription areas
- Have exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills liaising with internal and external stakeholders and engage in a friendly and professional manner
- Be capable of working collaboratively in a team environment and be a team player and be capable of working autonomously
- Ability to organise, manage, and prioritise multiple tasks
- Enthusiasm, motivation, and focus towards completing tasks and learning new skills
- Proactiveness when solving challenges
- Experience, knowledge and a strong interest in improving safety and quality systems in healthcare
