Our Land Resource Assessment and Science team are looking for a motivated team-player to join them in Cairns or Mareeba as a Land Resource Officer. Operating as part of a statewide team, you will be undertaking soil and Land Resource technical assessment to support departmental programs and priorities in natural resource management in Queensland.

About the role:
As a Land Resource Officer, you will be responsible for providing expert technical advice to a range of stakeholders, undertake soil and Land Resource surveys and land suitability assessments, capture and analyse data, and field work as required.
A Bachelor Degree in Soil Science, Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Earth Science or Natural Resource Management is mandatory for this role. A postgraduate qualification is also highly desirable.
To be successful you will have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- A current C class driver's licence
