The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning and Development Specialistto join our Courseware team. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and evaluating learning programs and initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning needs and objectives for various roles within the organisation.
- Design and develop engaging and effective learning programs, courses, and materials using a variety of instructional methods and technologies.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to determine the most appropriate learning solutions.
- Implement learning programs and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback to continuously improve the learning experience.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Learning and Development to ensure our programs are innovative and impactful.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants, as needed.
- Provide coaching and support to employees to enhance their learning experience and facilitate their professional development.
You must have:
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (essential).
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role working across a multi-site business.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong people, Learning and Development focus, with the ability to support leaders, teams and individuals in achieving their capability and skills development goals.
- Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure, managing conflicting priorities.
- Well-developed analytical skills, and the capacity to exercise sound judgement, particularly demonstrated in the ability to assess organisation-wide staff development needs, conduct training needs analysis and translate these to targeted programs.
- Demonstrated high level organisational, administrative skills and ability in problem-solving, priority-setting and working to deadlines.
- High level of motivation with the ability to work independently and co-operatively in a cross functional team environment.
You may have:
- Knowledge of the Electrical Supply Industry in Australia (preferred).
