Leasing Executive

Brisbane Airport Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Leasing Executive to join our awesome team!

As Leasing Executive (called Leasing Manager internally), you will play a crucial role in leasing our diverse portfolio of commercial real estate and retail spaces, ensuring optimal usage and maximising revenue streams. The successful candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, business acumen, and a proven track record in commercial/retail leasing within the property industry.

You will join a high performing, fun and supportive team reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager. This is a permanent full-time role to commence as soon as possible based at our Skygate head office.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
•    Complete leasing process for lease opportunities and renewals under the leadership of the Senior Commercial Manager
•    Negotiate terms and coordinate legal documentation with the Lease Administration team.
•    Collaborate with the Commercial Manager - Leasing and Development on complex transactions.
•    Implement our leasing strategy to contribute to business plan and budgets for Commercial Group.
•    Ensure containment of variable costs within approved budget and compliance with consultancy agreements.
•    Assist with the retail tenancy delivery process, including design approvals.
•    Assist with developing retail plans for assets, and devise strategies for growing income.
•    Assist in the business case process for new income opportunities, including feasibilities.
•    Work with Commercial team to develop casual leasing income within Terminals.
•    Manage leasing minutes for Commercial Property Development Team.
•    Build and maintain relationships with retailers, tenants, and stakeholders.
•    Maintain relevant knowledge of the leasing industry. 

Experience & Qualifications 
Essential:
•    Tertiary qualifications in Property or Property Economics or equivalent industry experience. 
•    Minimum of 3 years relevant property experience with a focus on leasing.
•    Knowledge of budgeting and accounting with the ability to interpret and analyse financial data.
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•    Experience in retail centre planning and retail projects.
•    Ability to interpret various legislation and acts.
