About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Secretary to support our dynamic Melbourne office. Our team are committed to excellence for our clients as well as managing your own lifestyle and wellbeing; we have high expectations of our work but also an understanding of when to let your hair down and switch off.

With a successful practice already established and still growing in the area of general Insurance,you must be hungry to assist our team in cultivating quality client relationships. We prioritise team success, and an attitude that we should all lift up those we work with – your success in this role will be reliant on your ability to engage with your colleagues and help grow our team’s practice.

What does a standard week look like?

  • Management of billing process, including e-billing
  • Entering disbursements and sundry accounts (Affinity and Elite 3E)
  • Client reporting
  • Drafting court documents, filing online, arranging service of documents
  • Drafting, editing and finalising letters
  • Document management through iManage
  • Coordinating subpoenaed documents
  • Drafting and submitting relevant Medicare / Centrelink forms
  • Arranging medical appointments and drafting letters of instructions
  • Opening and closing files
  • Arranging interstate travel

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a legal administrative position with exposure to general insurance. You’ll have strong MS Office proficiency, impeccable organisation and self-management skills, and at least 60 wpm accurate typing skills.
