About the Role
This role is in the litigation team. I am looking for someone with at least 5+ years' experience. It will be working for two Partners, Paul Reidy & Felicity Karageorge plus one Associate. This role is busy and demanding (minimal overtime).
Set out below are most of the tasks that will be required:
- Matter management - reviewing partners emails and ensuring tasks are being forwarded to the relevant lawyers and that they action these in a timely manner;
- Invoicing;
- Timesheets for partners;
- Debtor management;
- Preparing letters / terms of engagement letters / opening new matters;
- Diary management for partner (making sure no clashes for meetings);
- Booking restaurants, meeting rooms, sending calendar invites for client meetings;
- Drafting emails to clients and / or putting emails in partners drafts for the client;
- Printing briefs / documents;
- Updating budgets and liaising with lawyers to ensure funding reports are done for each month;
- Chasing Counsel for disbursements;
- Updating teams calendars with dates for orders;
- Running ASIC, Title Searches etc, running comparison of documents;
- Locating documents / emails in partners inbox that he is looking for;
- Typing up letters / emails for partner; and
- Emailing partner pdf versions of documents.
Skills & Experience
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities;
- Previous experience supporting multiple partners;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software;
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work; and
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
