The role will work closely with the directors of the Commercial, Property, Wills and Estates team who will provide direct mentorship and guidance to support and advance your career.
They are seeking a diligent and motivated Legal Secretary to join their Commercial, Property & Wills and Estates team. The ideal candidate will assist the legal professionals in administrative tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of the firm. Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to lawyers and legal executives.
- Prepare and manage legal documents, including contracts, correspondence and undertake legal searches.
- Maintain and organise physical and electronic filing systems.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and critical dates.
- Assist with billing and invoicing processes.
- Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
- Perform general office tasks such as answering phones, handling mail, and photocopying documents.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Previous experience in an administrative role including diary management and communication with clients and external parties.
- Experience in conveyancing and wills & probate advantageous but not essential.
- Previous experience in a legal role is advantageous but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred but not essential, Affinty software.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities.
