We are looking for a Legal Secretary/Paralegal to join our small friendly suburban firm located in the St George area. Our firm practices in various areas of the Law, but mainly in Conveyancing, Leasing, Probate, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Enduring Guardianship and Family Law matters.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a Legal Secretary
- Experience in/knowledge of Conveyancing and Leasing work is essential
- Knowledge of PEXA is desirable
- Greek speaking preferred but not essential
This role would also be suitable for a law student looking to gain hands on work experience throughout the course of their degree. You will be given the opportunity to be directly involved in a range of matters, including the opportunity to handle simple matters independently.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Strong administration, communication, and organisational skills
- Fast and accurate typing speed, and the ability to type following dictation
- General office duties such as answering telephone and email enquiries, photocopying, filing and collecting/sending out mail
- Drafting general correspondence and tax invoices
- Preparing contracts, leases, wills and other legal documentation
- Document and file management
- Liaising with clients from a diverse background
- Ability to prioritise, multitask and focus under pressure
- Strong client focus and commitment to client service
