Qualifications & experience

  • Office administrative skills and experience preferred
  • Experience in the legal profession preferred

Tasks & responsibilities

  • General file management, including opening and closing files
  • Preparing and sending start of matter documents as needed, including client engagement documents, verification of identity, matter questionnaires and stamping documents
  • Assisting with certain administrative tasks in PEXA, and assisting with other conveyancing tasks
  • Assisting with drafting correspondence for professional staff, including dictation, preparing simple legal documents
  • Any other professional and administrative support as reasonably required
  • Diary management for professional staff and booking appointments and attendances with key clients and referrers
  • Managing safe custody register (obtaining and storing client documents)
  • General office management including answering phone calls and sending messages to staff, mail duties, ordering and stocking stationery, preparing boardroom for meetings, greeting clients on arrival, keeping the office tidy and stocking fridge and supplies
  • Liaising with service providers, and building management
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to assist staff and displaying initiative and a high level of detail
