You'll do a variety of tasks in Family Law and other areas, helping clients with their legal needs efficiently and professionally. Your main duties will be:
- As a Senior Legal Secretary/PA, you'll work closely with a Partner and support a team of 2-3 lawyers.
- General legal administration and file management, including document preparation, correspondence review, and task organization.
- Managing phone calls, diaries, and emails, coordinating appointments, and liaising with clients, Barristers, and external parties.
- Word processing and Dictaphone typing for legal documents and correspondence.
- Invoicing and contributing to process improvements.
- Take initiative and learn eagerly.
- Organise tasks efficiently, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Excel in MS Office, with fast and accurate typing.
- Maintain confidentiality with diplomacy and discretion.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, fostering positive relationships.
- LEAP experience is beneficial, but not essential
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant/Secretary in Family/Criminal Law preferred.
- An interest in Family Law coupled with a strong administrative background is essential.
