This hospital is a major referral facility for people with complex health needs from Bright, Mansfield, Beechworth, Myrtleford, Yarrawonga, Euroa, and Benalla. Your new role The primary focus of the ICT Services Delivery Engineer is to support the hospital and partners with the provision of Level 2 ICT computer applications and infrastructure support as part of an IT service management model. A key part of the role is responding to incidents and service requests in an effective, efficient and timely manner. The role is responsible for the support, monitoring and management of corporate and clinical application stacks, inclusive of underlying infrastructure, database and middleware requirements. It includes server configuration, update and upgrade planning, backup and recovery design, and compliance with regulations, standards and controls as per organisation policy. This role provides technical expertise, coordination, and support for ongoing internal and external ICT and organisational projects. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with providing Level 2 technical support in the ITIL environment
Plan the installation and testing of new versions of system software.
Implement control, security and audit ability measures during configuration, and during integration of hardware and infrastructural software
Ensure that all Information Technology desktop systems are operating effectively.
Deliver end user training, advice, and support materials, as required.
Proactively and reactively ensuring user equipment is operating effectively
Following up on IT requests, incidents, problems and change requests.
Support enterprise network infrastructure, workstations, servers and applications
Assist the IT Service Desk Team Leader enhance business practices throughout the business by developing and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current IT work practices and emerging technical trends and strategies for continuous improvement
What you'll need to succeed
Information technology degree, relevant industry certification, and/or substantial demonstrated experience
Demonstrated experience in the administration and implementation of contemporary database management systems, including SQL Server
Demonstrated experience with MS Active Directory architecture, security group management, and GPO deployments
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Exchange environments and administration thereof
Experience administering cross-platform systems, utilising varied integration techniques, interfaces and utilities
Experience with backup technologies such as Veeam
Experience configuring firewalls/UTMs
ITIL Certification
VMWare Certification
MCSA/MCSE or equivalent experience
Experience using PowerShell
Experience in centralised deployment and management of application updates and patches
Willingness to travel to and between sites.
