The service includes Cardiac Scientist, Nutrition & Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech & Hearing, and Podiatry. These professional teams provide a multidisciplinary approach to service delivery to the service. Delivering Level 4 moderate complex inpatient and ambulatory care within the hospital.
Occupational Therapist with paediatrics experience required for a hospital based in North West Queensland. The caseload will cover:
- The Occupational Therapist will primarily (70%) be working in Outpatient Paediatric clinics. They will complete discipline specific and multidisciplinary assessments for children with developmental differences to support diagnostic work-up (e.g. suspected ASD, ADHD, FASD, II,).
- The work in a family-centred, trauma-informed way and assist families to gain access to ongoing therapy if indicated, by assisting with access requested to NDIS ECEI or other onward referrals to services in the region.
- You will also be required to support generalist inpatient caseloads (across Medical/Surgical/ICU/Paediatrics) including discharge planning and functional/cognitive assessments.
- There will be a 1 week handover with clinician will be provided to support onboarding.
- The role is primarily assessment based – not therapy).
- Join a team of 25 clinicians, including three Occupational Therapists.
- The dates of the locum are 3rd June – 9th
Locum rates upto $69.98 per hour + super, depending on experience.
Shared accommodation for applicant (not family/pets) at no cost OR accommodation subsidy payment if private rental sought ($82.50/week).
