An international MineTech organisation backed by a global technology conglomerate is seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst. This MineTech organisation services the technological needs of mining companies throughout the world. With clients in several continents along with offices in North America and Australia. You will be joining the Australian headquarters in Brisbane.
Your new role
Your main responsibilities will include,
Conducting Research and Customised Presentations: The M&A Analyst conducts research on potential firms and creates tailored presentations for business executives for negotiation meetings.
Strategic Assessment of Target Companies: The M&A Analyst comprehends HCM’s strategic goals and objectives, along with those of associated group companies. They evaluate potential target companies from this perspective.
Financial Analysis Formulation: The M&A Analyst formulates financial analyses.
Collaboration and Target Identification: Working closely with senior management and stakeholders, the M&A Analyst identifies merger and acquisition targets within the business’s market.
Proactive Outreach and Reporting: The M&A Analyst proactively contacts potential mergers and acquisitions, prepares businesses for meetings with corporate leadership and senior management, and tracks key metrics. They ensure accurate and up-to-date data, creating reports for senior merger and acquisition management to consider as well.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics
MBA Qualification and finance background (highly preferred)
Must have 3-5 years’ experience with corporate M&A or Venture Capital
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the workings of electronic market forecasting and market trading software programs
Strong research, analytical modelling, and technical modelling skills
