We are currently seeking a Maintenance Lead for our Hydroponic Greenhouse Cucumber farms located in the Bundaberg region in Queensland, Australia.
The purpose of this role is to support the maintenance controlling-manager in their business objectives by undertaking on-farm and workshop-based maintenance repairs on all Greenhouse structures, machinery and equipment as directed by the Manager.

Minimum Requirements
- Fabrication and mechanical knowledge - experience counts for a lot
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems with good diagnostic skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously in the field
- Sound knowledge & understanding of WH&S requirements
- Excellent Communication and Work Ethic
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Be able to work with minimal supervision
- At times you may have to work under pressure and to a deadline
- Overtime and weekends available if the need arises
- Drivers Licence (MR Truck or willingness to obtain one)
- Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain one)

Essential Functions/Duties
- Follow instructions in a way that will produce high quality work within the projected time.
- Assists and performs equipment maintenance on Greenhouse technology and systems including but not limited to: Greenhouse structures, greenhouse work areas, heating systems, cooling systems, irrigation systems, growing equipment, electrical systems, machinery, vehicles and general grounds.
- Assists and performs installations, maintenance/repairs, or construction tasks as assigned by the Management Team.
- Performs preventative maintenance procedures on a scheduled basis. Including cleaning, testing, treating, and calibrating per Manager’s instructions.
- Maintain and utilize maintenance equipment and safety gear.
- Inspects properties and communicates with Manager regarding proper grounds keeping, general cleanup, and maintenance.
In addition to the above responsibilities, a Maintenance Worker will be required to assist with various projects around the greenhouse as needed. At times, it would be expected to assist with greenhouse labour as instructed by the Management Team.
