Management Accountant - Law Firm

The Opportunity:

• $150,000 - $160,000 package
• Initial 12 months Fixed Term Contract
• Previous experience in legal is preferred - or - professional services

The Role:

Supporting the Finance Manager, you will play a critical role is overseeing the financial reporting, budgeting and analysis of firm performance. Among other things, your duties will include:

• Preparation and analysis of month-end reports for distribution to all Partners;
• Weekly review and reporting of group performance e.g. billable hours, billing clients, etc;
• Help prepare and coordinate annual budgets for the firm as a whole as well as individual practice groups;
• Work closely with Partners in providing client-related reporting, pricing analysis and scenario analysis (as and when required); and
• Prepare daily cash-flow reporting.

Your Background:

• CA or CPA qualified;
• Ideally, you will have gained experience within a Law Firm, otherwise have a strong background in professional services (without either, there will not be a pathway to success here);
• You will be technically savvy, commercially minded and comfortable working in a hybrid role across financial and management accounting;
• You will possess strong attention to detail and be confident in your reconciliation skills;
• Someone comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision; and
• You will have strong stakeholder management skills and hold you own dealing with the partners/ownership group when reviewing financial information.
