Management Accountant

Job ResponsibilitiesThis is an exciting time to join the Finance Team at Macmahon!We are seeking an enthusiastic Management Accountant to join our motivated and results driven finance team to support the operations division.About the role

• Prepare, review, and analyse monthly results.
• Liaise with stakeholders for project cost controls and commercial related matters.
• Review of monthly transactions and posting required reallocation journals.
• Close and completion of all month end journals.
• Undertaking financial analysis and provide advice in relation to financial matters.
• Review of business unit reporting submissions, translation of data to dashboards and graphs.
• Providing insightful commentary on the operations within the month end reporting pack.
• Preparation and review of month-end reconciliations.
• Review and maintenance of project GRNI accounts.
• Assisting with the half-year and year-end audits.
• Assist with the yearly budget preparation and quarterly reforecast.
• Review the project budgets/forecasts submissions.
• Systems and process improvement.
• Ad-hoc tasks as required to support the business operations.

About you

• CPA or CA qualified.
• Minimum 3-5 years' accounting experience with exposure to medium sized public companies.
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Strong management accounting skills.
• Advanced excel skills.
• Ability to critically assess outputs to provide value-add to business and management.
• Experience within mining and resource industry preferred.
