About the Role:
This role supports the development and successful delivery of the Atlantic strategy and business plan. The successful candidate will be part of a team that manages the long-term commercial aspects of marketing and trading in the Atlantic and will report to the General Manager, Business Development. This role is based in Houston, Texas.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and maintain an understanding of key commercial strategies and negotiate definitive agreements that support their implementation.
Develop and implement gas procurement, transportation and midstream strategies
Drive the optimization of the gas portfolio, including short and long term third party transactions, hedging and trading
Support the development of a long-term marketing budget & 5-year plan.
Identify and execute upon opportunities that optimize value within the M&T portfolio.
Coordinates key commercial activities for growth projects in the Atlantic basin, including ensuring access to the market, commercial optimization of takeaway options, market research, and facilitation of investment decisions.
Works with the Front Office team to support product sales, optimization, and flow assurance of existing operations.
Supports relevant commercial aspects of investments, divestments, and other A&D activities.
Identifies and implements Marketing and Trading initiatives to capture incremental value.
Provide market analysis and develop commercial proposals to underpin new investment opportunities.
Ensure Business Development activities comply with internal risk governance policies and procedures.
Attend and provide key inputs to internal stakeholders’ weekly/monthly meetings.
Builds strong relationships with other Marketing teams as well as teams in the assets and wider organization.
Works in accordance with and demonstrates a commitment to health, safety, sustainability, and environmental policies and procedures.

Skills & Experience:
Must have a fundamental understanding of oil and natural gas markets and desire to learn continually.
Significant knowledge and experience in upstream US gas markets, transportation, scheduling, optimization and trading required
Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in crude oil or natural gas marketing required.
Self-motivated and target-driven, able to prioritize effectively and coordinate multiple work fronts across multiple assets.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and strong analytical capabilities.
Ability to work collaboratively, build trustful relationships, and communicate effectively across multiple levels.
Proficient English language skills (written and spoken).
