- Providing strategic leadership and direction to the Community Safety service area, cultivating a high-performance culture through dynamic leadership and people development, optimising resources to achieve exceptional outcomes in service delivery.
- Fostering high performance and ensuring timely and customer-centric responses that embody the principles of our Customer First approach.
- Leading and supporting the Service Area in collaborative efforts with other service areas, enhancing cross-organisational involvement for the delivery of community outcomes, fostering effective management of people and resources.
- Leading and managing the development, implementation, and reviews of Community Safety strategies, policies, and procedures. Ensuring they remain contemporary, sustainable, and align with organisational needs, community expectations, legislation, and standards.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Post Graduate qualification in an appropriate discipline.
- Extensive experience in a field relevant to community or emergency management, rangers and Community Safety areas.
- Experienced and highly proficient in strategic analysis, problem solving, conceptual and lateral thinking, to deliver consistent decision making.
- Extensive experience in developing, preparing and implementing business plans in diverse and complex service environments to deliver and evaluate exceptional performance.
- Significant demonstrated experience providing contemporary leadership and operational direction to a large team.
- Current National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain.
- Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence
