An exciting opportunity exists within Curriculum into the Classroom and CTL Production - Teaching, Learning, Rural and Remote Branch for a highly motivated and experienced Manager to lead our dedicated desktop publishing and production team in creating, developing and delivering contemporary digital design solutions that support departmental goals and initiatives. We are seeking applicants with the relevant knowledge and skills to provide strategic advice and expertise to deliver high-quality education-based materials across a variety of digital platforms for Queensland state schools. Your role:
The role of the Manager is to:
- Lead a multi-disciplined publishing and production team to ensure digital materials meet contemporary design principles and reflect best practice.
- Provide expert advice to senior officers on digital solutions to identified business needs.
- Liaise and negotiate with content owners and key stakeholders to develop scopes of work that detail product requirements and timeframes for delivery.
- Devise and manage production processes including scheduling to ensure deliverables meet set timelines.
- Conduct quality assurance assessments to ensure departmental protocols and legislative requirements are met.
- Manage resources, systems and processes to maximise efficiency, effectiveness and delivery of quality outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of a collaborative, consultative and outcome focused team-culture, responsive to customer feedback.
- Demonstrated project management skills including use of Microsoft Project or similar.
- Proven high level communication and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes which reflect contemporary design principles and complement department platforms and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team and manage complex demands and workflows to ensure delivery of desired outcomes within set timeframes.
