Moyne Shire is located within one of the most scenic and popular areas of Victoria and is one of the few growing local government areas. This role will provide you with  the opportunity to plan and deliver services to meet the shire’s Environment and Energy aspirations and goals, its statutory requirements, strategic aspirations, objectives and plans You will be able to advance your career, experience and skills in leadership, stakeholder management, commercial acumen, whilst setting strategic direction and delivering outcomes while focusing on sustainable opportunities and maximising environmental, social and economic outcomes for our shire.

We need an experienced leader who can guide our amazing team and work with our stakeholders to achieve great things.

To be successful in this role you will need
Qualifications
Essential

• Current Victorian driver licence
• Tertiary qualification in town planning, sustainability/environment management, or related field

Experience
Essential

Substantial planning / sustainability management experience in local government or similar field.

Key selection criteria 1

• Substantial demonstrated experience in local government, planning, sustainability or similar field with an emphasis on strategic planning.

Key selection criteria 2

• Knowledge and understanding of team management concepts and major issues emerging within local government

Key selection criteria 3

• Working knowledge of local government functions and statutory obligations

Key selection criteria 4

• Proficient in developing budgets, financial management and corporate planning
