The role Reporting to the Director (F2000 Day) Reform Office, you will exemplify the values of the Queensland Public Service while spearheading priorities within the program. Your role involves identifying reform opportunities, strategically planning, and executing key state-wide projects to enhance the First 2000 Days initiative. Maintaining a comprehensive awareness of state initiatives and services related to the program, you will establish and nurture trusted relationships with service leaders to collaboratively advance the First 2000 Days agenda. Leading system-wide partnerships through existing governance structures and clinical networks, you will ensure a steadfast commitment to the program across Queensland.
Your expertise will be instrumental in providing advice to the Director and relevant stakeholders on priorities, system-wide development, research, and quality improvement related to the First 2000 Days. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Director and Program Lead to prepare and implement strategies for driving system improvement, including contributing to Cabinet and CBRC submissions, as necessary. Your responsibilities extend to the preparation and review of high-level briefing documents, submissions, correspondence, and reports. As a leader, you will coach and mentor staff, fostering their development to achieve defined project outcomes. Your commitment to ethical decision-making will be pivotal in achieving organizational goals, and you will actively participate in the continuous improvement of First 2000 Days and broader Reform Office activities and processes.
The successful personTo excel in this role, you should highlight a record of accomplishment of strategic, conceptual, critical thinking, and analytical skills applicable to various social and health priority areas, particularly in children's and family health. Successful candidates will demonstrate a proven ability to identify, negotiate, influence, and implement solutions for complex problems. Moreover, the role requires adept project management skills, encompassing the ability to develop, implement, analyse, and evaluate policy and program-related projects.
Additionally, candidates should exhibit proficiency in identifying, scaling, spreading, and adapting best practices and innovative care models at regional and/or state-wide levels. A demonstrated capability to build and enhance partnerships across the health system, fostering collaboration within a complex multi-disciplinary environment, is also essential.
