Description & Requirements
The Manager, GBS HTR ANZ is responsible for leading the day-to-day execution of functional business processes in accordance with the Service Level Agreements aligned with Kraft Heinz Australia and New Zealand business stakeholders.
The role will work lead a combination of on-shore (Australia, New Zealand) team members as well as third party Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partners to identify and drive process improvement initiatives to boost performance and business results.
This will involve, but not be limited to payroll execution and accuracy, coaching and support for our broader GBS HTR team, developing CI (continuous improvement) strategy, escalation management from internal stakeholders, and cross-functional collaboration on larger opportunities across Payroll.
The Manager, GBS HTR ANZ will serve as a key member of the Australia and New Zealand Global Business Services (GBS) Leadership Team, promoting a culture of Executional Excellence, Process Excellence, Innovation and Business Value.
Responsibilities:
Customer Centric Operational Stability:
- Responsible for Payroll accuracy and improvement initiatives to ensure our people are consistently paid the right amounts at the right times
- Work closely with our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partners to coach and train the broader HTR team on core fundamentals and continuous improvement opportunities
- Work with our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) team to prioritise managing Payroll queries
- Provide support in resolving exceptional cases related to payroll and post payroll matters, including Holiday Act matters and Superannuation administration
- First point of escalation for Kraft Heinz on Payroll matters
- Manage open balance sheet reconciliations and clearances in partnership with Kraft Heinz Finance department
- Manage HTR compliance, internal and external audits for GBS scope
- Develops, manages, and coaches all members of the Hire to Retire team to ensure they have the appropriate skills / knowledge / training etc. to service our internal and external customers (internal and external resources)
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Drive Payroll improvements in partnership with Kraft Heinz HR department and with support from Head of GBS ANZ
- Liaise between GBS and Kraft Heinz on Service Level Agreements and Reverse Service Level Agreements and drive action plans to improve performance on both sides
- Drive Service Performance Management reviews between business and GBS and improve reporting with GBS team
- Responsible for intervening in, and facilitating the resolution to HTR issues, such as conflicting roles and responsibilities, ways of working with third party providers, and cross functional partners and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders to drive effective partnerships with the business to deliver GBS service commitments
Process Improvement:
- Manages, executes, and delivers continuous improvement program delivery for ANZ HTR while maintaining a global lens
- Ensure process documentation is updated frequently to reflect current standard operating procedures in compliance with Kraft Heinz policies and controls
- Work closely with Global process owners and teams to understand root causes and represent process procedures, practicalities, and exceptions
- Translate payroll targets into action plans for GBS to drive improvement
- Support project and technology implementations including SAP S/4 Hana, Basware and other digital solutions
- Act as a change agent and SME when Workday / Payroll are in scope for discussion
- Review and analyse reporting from broader GBS teams
- Apply understanding of assigned business process to identify gaps and propose continuous improvement measures
General:
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all Kraft Heinz Food Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Ethical and Human Resources policies, programs, and goals.

About you:
- Bachelor's degree is required, MBA is preferred
- Post graduate certification in GBS is preferred
- Understanding of Hire to Retire and Payroll processes across Australia / New Zealand
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in leadership roles
- Experience working in an operational capacity within GBS is highly preferred
- Experience managing BPO or offshore teams is highly preferred
- Experience leading teams in matrix and complex set ups
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Experience leading Continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience leading big transformation initiatives
