Our Opportunity
Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue's Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal People and the Kariyarra people in Port Hedland.
Iron Bridge is Fortescue's US$2.6 billion project, set to deliver 22mtpa of high grade 67% Fe magnetite concentrate product. Located 145km by road south of Port Hedland, the mine delivers an innovative process design and industry-leading energy efficient operation. Iron Bridge represents Fortesuce's latest operation equipped with new technologies and camp facilities.
Roster: 4D/3R - FIFO ex Perth with some flexibility available.
Reporting to the Director Operations Iron Bridge, this role is responsible for providing leadership to the People, Training and Aboriginal Engagement teams and supporting a high performing leadership team to achieve their operational strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading a strategy that supports a safe, happy and engaged workforce
- Acting as a people business partner for the operation, connecting with internal teams to achieve goals
- Providing support, coaching and mentoring to a team of 20
- Leading all People, Aboriginal Engagement and Training activity
- Designing initiatives to increase employee engagement and reduce turnover
- Designing initiatives to create a diverse teams
- Working with the Iron Bridge Senior Leadership Team to create pathways and development for high performing employees
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or similar with minimum 8 years of experience in the field
- Previous experience in a HR Leadership role, preferably within the in mining, oil and gas or construction sectors (FIFO experience advantageous)
- Ability to build trusting and credible relationships - this role will be the key business partner
- A commitment to Aboriginal cultural education and competence
