Emphasising community preparedness, prevention, and response, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services is a multifaceted organisation providing crucial services such as fire and rescue, disaster management, Rural Fire Services, and State Emergency Services.
Business Platforms is a crucial division that plays a pivotal role in developing and managing technological solutions for ICT and business challenges. They focus on human capital management and disaster management platforms, contributing to strategy formulation, policy solutions, and fostering an inclusive, diverse, and capable workforce. The team collaborates closely with stakeholders and partners to ensure the delivery of contemporary best practices for Business Platforms.
Reporting to the Executive Manager, the Business Platforms Manager will lead the team, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders on complex system issues.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the transition of releases, enhancements, system changes, and maintenance, for SAP Success Factors, Aurion and related HR management systems.
- Manage system technical documentation and Service Design, ensuring compliance with departmental standards and policies, and overseeing test implementation for currency and effectiveness.
- Provide high-level advice, reporting, and recommendations on business systems improvement and implementation practices, identifying impacts on operational requirements.
- Lead and manage the team, undertaking operational and strategic planning, workflow, performance, and quality management to ensure alignment with organisational requirements.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the development of ongoing improvement initiatives and delivering innovative solutions.
As the preferred candidate, you must demonstrate previous experience in complex SAP/Success Factors system configuration and management, have previously worked within a large complex environment that works closely with external vendors ensuring SLA's are fit for purpose and met.
You may be required to participate in out of hours ‘On-Call’ roster arrangement as well as support operational duties during emergencies and disasters which may also require work outside of normal hours (e.g. night shift), including weekends, working extended hours and possible intra-state deployment.
Please note the position is a fixed term contract employed directly with QFES, the salary range is $135-145,000 inclusive of superannuation and is initially a contract through to June 2024 with a view to extend for a further 12 months.
