We are expanding our accounting team with this full-time position for a qualified accountant interested in long-term career progression in a varied role.
We are a boutique accounting and financial services firm specialising in tax planning, self-managed superannuation funds, corporate structuring, financial planning, investments, and mortgage broking.
Located close to the city, our Perth office is just a 5-minute walk from McIver train station and a 10-minute walk from Perth train station.

We have a modern and bright office with secure parking and are located across the park from an IGA, Chemist and McDonald's with cafe and other services nearby.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and bright individual to lead our team, reporting to the directors. Duties will include supervising our accounting team and taking responsibility for:
- Assisting with resolving queries and the preparation of more complex financial accounts and income tax returns when appropriate
- Following our policies, procedures and systems to the letter and be keen to be part of developing them further
- Conducting first detailed review of accounting and tax jobs when necessary
- Being responsible for workflow and meeting budgets
- Communicating with both our clients and team is important and for this reason, you need to be competent in writing, reading, and speaking English.
- We use computer systems extensively and whilst there is training on the industry software we use, you must be computer literate and be competent in the Microsoft Office products in particular Word, Excel, and Outlook as a minimum and ideally Xero and MYOB.
The right candidate will:
- Have strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Be well-organised;
- Understand the need to follow systems and use the appropriate channels to suggest improvements;
- Be well-presented and committed to continuous learning;
- Have a high level of written and verbal English;
- Be career minded
- Possess a high level of attention to detail and is organised;
- Ideally, be interested in cross-qualifying to financial planning in the future;
- Be highly computer literate and touch type;
- Have completed CA, IPA or CPA qualifications or be close to completion;
- Be prepared to take responsibility for training; and
- Need to hold permanent residency and the right to work in Australia as a minimum.
