About the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation
More than just a football club, the Western Bulldogs has a long-standing history as the community club of the AFL. The Western Bulldogs Community Foundation is the club’s community arm that utilises the trusted brand of our football club to deliver life changing programs. At its’ core the Foundation delivers demonstrated impact in the areas of health and wellbeing, youth leadership, cultural diversity, social inclusion and community advocacy.
Across Melbourne and Victoria’s west, we reach over 20,000 community members each year including direct capacity building for over 4,000 participants in our targeted programs. This critical work is underpinned by a whole of Club commitment that is strongly supported by all three levels of government and a range of corporate and community partners. Our programs are independently and academically evaluated to ensure we meet the ever-changing needs of our community, and we are always evolving our content and delivery methods to be best practice.

Your contribution to the team includes
The role of Marketing, Events & Administration Officer will assist the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation (WBCF) with a variety of tasks which support raising the profile and brand of the Community Foundation, delivery of events and programs, and other administrative tasks. This role will be a max-term contract of 12 months. This role will be responsible for:
- Marketing & Social Media: Day to day posting and maintaining of Western Bulldogs Community Foundation social media accounts, social and digital media content creation, marketing collateral coordination, marketing campaign support, event planning and delivery.
- Events: Play a key role in the planning and delivery of Community Foundation events such as AFLW Community Round, Youth Fest and Mental Health Week etc.
- Administrative Support: Work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders in order to develop efficient processes and provide general office support across the Foundation.
Skills and experience
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, community development, sport management or another related area is preferred
- High level of organisational skills is vital, as well as an ability to multitask and prioritise when required
- Knowledge, experience and interest in marketing, community development, partnerships
- Demonstrated high level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Experience in event coordination, marketing or communications
The role will be supported by the Bachar Houli Program with applicants from a Muslim background strongly encouraged to apply for this position.
