What you'll be doing
It is best practice that decision making in Cancer is multi-disciplinary. Each tumour stream has a Multidisciplinary Team meeting where patients are discussed and future care planned. The organisation of the meetings is complex involving multiple specialties and external diagnostic providers. Excellent coordination is vital for optimal patient outcomes, research and for the success of multi-disciplinary care in the cancer service.
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the administrative, logistic and data entry functions of the Multidisciplinary Team Meetings are efficient and effective and that data for service improvement, T3 and health services research is accessible, accurate and complete.

Selection Criteria * Experience working as an administrative/project officer, preferably in health.
  • Understanding of multidisciplinary care within Cancer Services.
  • Excellent organisation and time management with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • A high degree of attention to detail with an acknowledged track record for completeness and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative.
  • High level interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior professionals and senior administrative staff.
  • High level computer skills, preferably with an understanding of Electronic Health (Medical) Record databases.
