Our client is part of an Australian family-owned group of companies. With a history dating back to the 1960s, their organisation operates 17 retail stores and produces high-quality fresh produce, as well as a state-of-the-art meat processing and packaging facility, located south of Perth.

Supporting their highly successful range of beef, chicken, lamb, and pork products, they are now on the lookout for a Meat Factory Managerto join their well-established refrigerated packing facility in Jandakot, WA.
  

Your Role

We are seeking a Meat Factory Manager to oversee operations in our client’s refrigerated packing facility in Jandakot. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring orders are met efficiently, maintaining food safety protocols, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

You will play a vital role in delivering top-quality beef, chicken, lamb, and pork products to strengthen our client's retail customer base and meet factory and store-level targets.

Further to the above, your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Ensure that all factory operations day to day are happening efficiently
• Customer orders are delivered in a timely manner
• Product is consistent, including cutting, labelling, and packaging
• Staff are organized and inducted correctly
• Human resources are being efficiently allocated through rostering
• Effective ordering to ensure minimal over or under supply
• Constantly review workflows to increase efficiencies
• Provide a safe workplace for employees
• Factory assets are kept well maintained

  
About You

Driven and an adept communicator, the ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in butcher skills within meat processing plants. Reporting to the Meat Operations Manager, the Meat Factory Manager must ensure optimal resource utilisation for efficient meat packing with minimal food safety risks.

To be considered for the role, addressing the following criteria is essential:

• Proven experience in meat processing plants
• Strong communication and self-driven work ethic
• Ensure a trained workforce to meet customer demands
• Monitor quality and efficient use of raw materials to minimize wastage and maximize returns
• Provide direction and advice for the Meat factory operation team
• Coordinate performance discussions and liaise with HR for procedural correctness
