The Role:
Coregas has a permanent full-time opportunity for a Mechanical Trades Person to join our team based in Port Kembla. This role has the ownership, responsibility, and accountability for the delivery of safe, cost-effective, and quality Mechanical maintenance on all equipment/infrastructure supporting the Port Kembla production site.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all planned maintenance activities are completed safely & in full compliance with the site’s Safe Work Procedures.
- Ensure all maintenance records and documentation are maintained in the sites CMMS(MEX), online data bases, and written libraries.
- Ownership, operation, and maintenance of all the sites spare parts stores and critical spare parts
- Ensure all breakdown, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities are planned and executed correctly, on time, and in a professional manner
- Support ongoing review and improvement of maintenance activities – in terms of safety, quality, and cost. This shall include delivery against agreed annual improvement objectives
About you:
- TAFE trades certification - mechanical Trades, fitting and machining, or equivalent.
- Sound understanding of Safe Work Practices
- Must have extensive Mechanical Maintenance experience in an automated industrial environment.
- Preferable with experience using maintenance planning software
- Must be proficient in using computer office programs, such as Microsoft suite
- Must have the ability to be an effective communicator and be calm under pressure.
- Must have Breakdown, fault finding and repair experience.
- Welding and Machining experience.
- Desirable – Forklift license, Working at Heights, Boom lift and Confined spaces.
- Desirable - compressor or rotating machinery experience.
- 24/7 operation with call outs and some overtime.
