About the role The Media & Communications Officer is a member of Council’s Corporate Communications team. The team is responsible for managing Council’s internal and external communications to enhance Council’s reputation within the community. The role is an opportunity to further your communications career in a small team that works across Council and its many functions, events, activities and projects. Your key priorities include the development and implementation of media and communication strategies in line with Council’s strategic direction; developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (including the media) to grow opportunities to enhance Council’s profile and reputation, and identifying suitable media opportunities and producing engaging content to promote and raise awareness of Council, its role, priorities and achievements.
